PR1000 is the least expensive out of all the models sporting over 25 exercise possibilities. This is a great starter gym for the price. It does use the Bowflex patented power rod resistance system. Updated 10/11/2019: The PR1000 is an old model. It has been upgraded and is now called Bowflex Xtreme Home Gym.
